Education serves as a key stepping stone towards improving the lives of individuals in the developing world. KashmirCorps seeks to utilize the diverse talents of the service participants and work on projects in schools and orphanages in the region. The KashmirCorps service participants will engage in group, team building, and leadership exercises in the struggling Srinagar public school system. A working knowledge of Urdu, Hindi, or Kashmiri would be an advantage, however, not required.

We also plan on developing projects conducive to the creativity of the children. KashmirCorps seeks volunteers who are interested in teaching arts, photography, creative writing, and film, to interact with the students. Finally, we will engage participants in an existing Adult literacy program with our resources on the ground, in hopes of ending illiteracy among females especially.
